Under the spotlight
29 October 2009 What better way to spend Halloween week, than with a night dive in the club pool? This was an opportunity for club members to experience something a little different and give those who haven’t experienced a real night dive yet, a taster of what to expect. When planning for the night dive, our organiser was anxious that it wouldn’t be dark enough and people would get bored. However, torches were soon turned off, except for those of some of the less experienced club members, and even the flood lights from the football pitch didn’t affect the ambiance. Items of interest were placed in the pool such as scallop shells, a treasure chest, glow sticks and sea creatures, including a shark, floating around. With the majority of divers still in the pool when the lights came back on, this was a sign that a good time was had by all and this may become an annual event.
