Try dives

You will receive an explanation of the equipment and learn some underwater hand signals and safety procedures for your dive. Then you will enter the pool (shallow end first) where you will be shown the basics of diving techniques.

If you are unsure if diving is for you, a try dive is the best way to find out. A try dive may also a good way to refresh your memory if you are a qualified diver who has had a break from diving.

Payment options 

Payment on the night by cash or cheque

If you wish to pay by cash or cheque, you can pay us on the night of your dive, but please remember that you need to make your booking first by calling our Try Dive Manager on 07951 855725.

Payment online using Credit or Debit card or PayPal

If you wish to pay by Credit/Debit card or using PayPal, you can purchase a Gift Voucher online using the shopping cart below, but please remember that you will also need to agree a date for your dive calling our Try Dive Manager on 07951 855725 or emailing trydives@bracknellscuba.org.uk.

There are eight designs to choose from, illustrated on the right. All vouchers are valid 12 months from date of purchase.

Although we use PayPal, you do not have to have a PayPal account to purchase these vouchers, you can use your normal Debit or Credit card. You can order more than one design, or more than one voucher at a time, but you will only have to pay a single post and packing fee of £1.00.

Terms & Conditions

Medical fitness

In order to ensure your safety, we will ask you to sign our try dive form prior to taking your dive to confirm that:

• you are capable of swimming 100 metres freestyle
  without the use of a buoyancy aid
• you are fit and do not suffer from any disqualifying conditions
• you will comply with the instructions of your try dive instructor.

Age

The club has a minimum age limit of 12 for try divers (although we reserve the right to refuse a try dive if we have any concerns regarding stature). A parent or guardian must be present at poolside at all times. Any of our try dive instructors accompanying minors will have successfully passed a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.

What to bring on the night

All you need is a swimming costume but we also recommend bringing an old T shirt for personal comfort.

A wetsuit is not required but you are welcome to bring one along if you own one.

Mask and fins will be provided but if you have your own, do bring them with you.
