Try dive terms and conditions


It is important the you read and understand the terms and conditions below. If in doubt, please contact us before purchasing online to enable us to talk this through with you. You can contact us by phone, email or you can visit us at the club on a Thursday night.

Try dive sessions are available on the understanding that persons taking part:

  1. Are capable of swimming 100 metres free style without the use of buoyancy aids.
  2. Consider themselves medically fit and do not suffer from any of the disqualifying conditions (see below).
  3. Will, in the interests of safety, comply with all instructions given to them by the organiser or their try dive instructor.
  4. Complete try dive and medical forms (see below) prior to taking part in the try dive.

Every precaution will be taken for the safety of persons taking part in a try dive and the Bracknell Branch organisers or individually appointed instructors reserve the right to terminate instruction of any person should there be reason to doubt fitness or ability or suitability to take part in the sport (a full refund will be given for any pre-paid gift vouchers in these circumstances).


Disqualifying medical conditions

Sub aqua diving is a sport which requires general physical fitness and good health. You will be required to sign a medical form to confirm that you do not suffer from any of the disqualifying conditions including diabetes, blackouts (epilesy, etc), perforated ear drums, high blood pressure or heart disease, any lung or respiratory disorder (including asthma), or dependence on drugs.

Minors

The British Sub Aqua Club have no ‘lower age limit’ for participating in a try dive, but organisers reserve the right to impose a limit of minimum age or stature, as they consider appropriate (a full refund will be given for any pre-paid gift vouchers in these circumstances).

A parent or guardian must be present at poolside at all times for all try divers under the age of 18.
