Pool Marshal Guidelines

All Bracknell Sub Aqua Club members with rescue training (Sports Diver qualification and above or Lifesaver award) are required to take part in Pool Marshall duties as part of their club membership.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure that HSE risks are kept to a minimum and to take the lead in the event of a diving related incident / injury, and co-ordinate with the Bracknell Sports Centre staff.

BSAC Pool Safety Officers Guidelines crib sheet will be held within the pool office and should be read by the Pool Marshal before each pool session and then returned to the pool office. The Sports Centre staff may issue you with a small radio to communicate direct with reception in case of an emergency service 999 call.

Bracknell BSAC have decided that for health and safety reasons we should have a Pool Marshal to people ratio of 1:15 therefore there will be two pool marshals in attendance.
