Bracknell Sub Aqua Club

New to diving

If you are new to diving then some wonderful experiences await you and it usually starts with a try dive.

The try dive is an hour in the swimming pool, usually one-to-one with an experienced instructor and all the equipment provided. You learn the fundamentals at your own pace and will often find yourself, by the end of the evening three metres down in the deep end watching the swimmers overhead – a very different view of the world!

Entry level training

Once you have decided that diving is definitely for you then you can join the club and we will welcome you and your fellow new divers on to the Ocean Diver training course. This is your first internationally recognised qualification as a scuba diver!

Although we can often take students as young as 12 for a try dive, scuba training is not usually undertaken until 14 years of age. All instructors working with under 18s are CRB checked however club members who are minors do need to join and be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.

It all starts
with a try dive!
