Social membership

The club also has a social membership which allows use of the pool on club evenings for swimming and snorkelling. Social members may also attend most club talks except occasionally if space is limited, in which case first priority is given to full diving members.

Typically, social members will be:

  • non diving partners of full dive club members
  • qualified divers who are taking a break from diving activities
  • potential new members who are waiting for a new training course to begin and would like to get to know other club members in the meantime.

Annual cost: £25.00*

Social members are not insured to use the pool for dive related purposes, except if they book on a try dive, so will need to upgrade to full diving membership should they wish to enter the pool in scuba kit.

* All prices correct March 2012.
